To play myCityHunt, you need a smartphone with camera, GPS and mobile data function such as a current iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. However, tablet PCs (e.g. iPad or Galaxy Tab) can also be used as long as they meet the necessary requirements. No special software or app needs to be installed to start the game. The myCityHunt Web App can be opened and operated directly via your Internet browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge). If you play in a team, at least one person (the team leader) needs a compatible device. If several participants have a smartphone, all registered players can solve their own challenges during the tour. Players without a smartphone can participate, but will not receive their own challenges.
Every registered team member can choose a role at the beginning of the scavenger hunt. Are you a passionate Photographer? A skillfull Detective? Or a Networking Champion? Slip in any role that suits you! During the tour, we will regularly send challenges to the participants´ mobile phones.
